How to convince recruiters about a career change to Corporate Finance?

I am an Industrial engineer and want to make a move to Corporate Finance, one of the questions I get most often is why do I want to make such a career change and how I see myself fit into this role ? or justify how you can do well in Corporate Finance role despite your non finance background?
I am currently enrolled in a full time MBA program and planning to take finance courses but I want to know how I can really sell myself on this idea ?

I’m researching and writing a paper regarding the US peer-to-peer (P2P) lending markets. (1)If you have ever used or have been tempted to use micro-lending for personal gain how has this new trend of lending/borrowing benefited you, (2)what/how do you think these companies can change and/or add to better benefit the consumer, and (3)what segmented markets are still untapped? Career change from architecture to finance/investment management?

I’m 34 w/ a MSc in architecture. Been an architect for the past 7 years, but now looking for a serious career change. I’m considering doing the CFA program to find a job in investment management, but wondering if I make any chance at all getting a good job at my age given my lack of finance/economic education and work experience so far. Any tips?

Can the retirement savings calculator at Yahoo Finance be modified to change the age of receiving Social Sec?

For example, the calculator assumes a person would start drawing Social Security benefits at age 62. Can this calculator be modified or updated to show what the benefits would be if the person started taking benefits at age 67 (or any other age over 62)? It would be a more useful Yahoo users tool if this item could be updated.
