It seems these days, there are hundreds of websites listing potential foreclosure properties. It all seems they all want money for the listings.

Is there one single website that is a great go-to site that doesn’t charge for foreclosure listings?

check your local paper. by law, lenders have to list foreclosures in the paper for 3 weeks before they foreclose on property. remember, a good deal is hard to find, so research the properties carefully.

What is the effects of letting an investment property go into foreclosure?

I have been trying to find out what happens when letting an investment property go. Is it the same as a normal foreclosure or short sale, where you get taxed on the difference? Or is there some other route this takes. Just a question not my situation!
