Scientific Calculators

November 1st, 2010

A Calculator is a device that is used for doing mathematical calculations.  Every since then 1950s when calculators first was made, they have helped us in many ways.  From school to work, to even finances.  Calculators can be electronic, mechanical, or hardware or software.  The modern electronic calculators are usually the small and digital.

Electronic became available in the early 1960s and were pretty fast at first.  They were said to be like computers with limited memory.  The mechanical ones were also made in the 1960s.  They were a wider shape.  Calculators back then were just used for adding and subtracting.  One of the most popular kinds of calculators out right now is the TI calculators.

The TI-89 calculator itself is very popular.  It’s a great calculator to graph with.  It also has a lot of other uses for it.  Therefore in school students can use it for more that just math and graphing.  It can even be used for science.  Besides the TI-89 there are a lot of great new and improved calculators out there.  A lot of them have graphing.  There even are some that do things like solve fractions, work with parentheses, slopes and even add and subtract with percentages.  There are even a lot of calculators now that are portable ones.  You can purchase them at staples, best buy, etc.

Just like we know the calculators to very useful, they are very powerful too.  They are said to usually be 100% accurate almost every time and run be small batteries that you don’t have to worry about changing.  Most of them are basically like mini computers.  Prices range so you would have to look for the type you want and get to your nearest store that sales them to purchase it.  There is a whole lot more different Calculators out their and just by getting the right one it may change your entire life by making things a lot easier for you in your life.  It’s been recommended by some collage professors to purchase the TI-30XS Multi view.  The price rang is between $164.99 to $179.99.  You will be very amazed what this Calculator can do.
